EPISODE DESCRIPTION
Bold New Girls founder, Lindsay Sealey, recounts the first time she dimmed her light to be liked and accepted by her peers. We discuss why young girls and women compare themselves and the steps to building a foundation of self-belief. Lindsay reminds us how to embrace the fear and face our self-doubt head on - much like what she does with each television appearance or speaking engagement.. Lindsay is cool, calm, and collected, and I would never have guessed she gets nervous before speaking events (even to the point of looking for ways to cancel them). She shares how she leans into the fear, instead of avoiding it, and how she is always elated that she did. We also discuss how our greatness can scare us and trigger others, and how taking action is what builds confidence.
Lindsay Sealey is a speaker, educator, founder of Bold New Girls, and author of the award winning books Growing Strong Girls, Rooted Resilient and Ready, and Made for More. Lindsay has a passion of empowering young girls and women and is committed to life long learning and making a difference.
